Salamander’s new International Distribution Center is fully operational to provide shorter lead times, lower shipping costs and greener supply chain.

Salamander Designs, a premier manufacturer of high-quality furniture for residential and commercial audio/video integration, today announced the opening of their International Distribution Center in Maarssen, The Netherlands. The new warehouse will stock specific Salamander A/V furniture for meeting rooms, conference rooms and collaborative spaces. Because of strong demand, the first product onboard is the category-leading Salamander FPS Stand.

“We chose to locate our European Hub in the Netherlands,” said Paul Sabbah, international sales and business development lead for Salamander Designs, “because many other U.S. manufacturers are also based there, including many technology partners we work closely with. The country has one of the EU’s largest ports, Rotterdam, and is easily accessible by ground transportation to all of Europe.”

This logistics expansion was carefully planned and constructed to help customers who order directly from Salamander by providing faster and easier ordering procedures, and far shorter shipping times. Benefits in some instances will include lower minimum order quantities, one-day delivery and dramatically faster delivery.

“Our continued global expansion is driven by customer demand for our products and faster installation,” said Scott Srolis, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Salamander Designs. “We are delighted to be able to serve our European customers with local delivery options and even better service.”

Salamander has also been a leader in environmentally conscious manufacturing and shipping. All products are made in a 100% solar powered facility. This new EU warehouse is another way that Salamander has advanced the mission by reducing individual packing and transportation waste while delivering as quickly as possible to its European enterprise integrators and customers.
