Modern Electronics Furniture
Launched at CES
Hartford, Connecticut, January
8, 1998-- The possibilities are endless with Salamander Designs
new Synergy System line of modular electronics furniture, launched
at the 1998 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. In announcing
the new products today, company president and designer, Salvatore
Carrabba stated that "Synergy breaks new ground in meeting
the storage needs of consumers looking for flexibility, customization
and expandability in their audio/video furniture. Individuals
are most satisfied, creative and content when they have options."
Synergy is an elegantly simple
design of extruded aluminum posts which support beautifully finished
hardwood shelves. The post's linear geometry mixes with the open
architecture to create a rich palette of materials and textures.
The hallmark of Synergy is its
unparalleled flexibility and customization. A full-line of refined
modular elements and accessories allows owners to fine-tune individual
systems to keep pace with their growing requirements. Shelves
are infinitely adjustable allowing any distance between them
and rear panels are quickly removable to provide essential component
access.
The standard open architecture
of Synergy can be easily enclosed with side panels which are
available in a variety of materials and finishes. Doors are available
in wood with frosted glass or perforated metal panels for discreetly
integrating speakers. Further expansion features include elements
for stacking, bridging, storage and mobility.
"We believe that our new
products meet a real need in the marketplace for affordable,
aesthetically pleasing and highly functional electronics furniture,"
continued Mr. Carrabba. "Essential to Synergy's practical
and thoughtful features and expandability is its enduring workmanship.
We believe our customers will appreciate the carefully considered
materials and production processes we have employed to provide
long-term strength and durability."
Synergy System was recognized
with an Innovations award for its design and engineering excellence
in the most recognized awards program in the consumer electronics
industry at the 1998 Consumer Electronics Show.
